Students are to express their interest to become "Baylor Bears" and appreciate the kind of education that Baylor has to offer. Students are required to send high school transcripts (including GPA, and advanced classes), SAT or ACT results, class ranking, recommendation letters, short answer essays, and a list of all extra-curricular activities and awards. The BA in American Studies offers students the opportunity to gain insight in the US, to help improve the quality of life of all Americans. The program is thought for those students who would like to shape America’s future. The curriculum focuses on American institutions and American culture; to show what the intellectual and cultural development of the nation has been I terms of the past, present, and future.
