The Admission’s Committee at Franklin and Marshall evaluates student’s high school academic records, to weigh in the type and quality of classes taken, high school ranking, and the quality of the high school; an official recommendation of the student’s guidance counselor, headmaster, principal, or college adviser, and a recommendation letter or letters form teachers; SAT I or ACT scores; extra-curricular and leadership activities. Students who do not believe in standardized tests or do not think they reflect their performance are to send to graded social science papers in order for the admission’s committee to evaluate.
Basic Information (Description):
The BA in Anthropology offers students an opportunity to study the small as well as the big picture in the analysis of human experience. Students in the program are required to take ten courses: introductory courses in major sub-fields of anthropology; culture area courses; and advanced theoretical seminars in special topics. The website also has anthropological jokes, which sort of indicates its utterly anthropological sense of humor.
