Admission requirements to Wellesley College is very academically rigorous. Students must submit their high school transcripts, and prove that they have pushed themselves through accelerated or advanced-level courses. Students should also take the SATs (the average score being, 700 in Verbal, 694 in Writing, and 687 in Math).
Basic Information (Description):
The BA in Anthropology allows students to focus on physical anthropology, archeology, or social anthropology. Geographical areas covered by the department are Africa, Latin America, Asia, and the US. The program makes an attempt to explore issues in the emerging world and its relationship with the US. The curriculum focuses on cross-cultural studies, economics, technology, family, gender, and law. Students are required to take 8 or more credits in the Anthropology Department, as well as other courses that could help the development of the student's anthropological education.
