Freshmen admission is based on an evaluation of a range of factors including high school course work, ACT composite score or SATI, cumulative high school percentile ranking (HSPR) at the end of the junior year, activities, service, previous work, and information provided in the student's essays. All applicants must complete the Personal Statement and should include information on their interest/experience in the intended major.
Basic Information (Description):
The BA in Anthropology allows students to study human evolution, nationalism, ancient DNA, explore the arts cross-culturally, explore food and consumer culture, study primates, analyze gender, politics, and ecology. Students are required to take 30 credit hours in Core Courses (Bioanthropology, social and Cultural Anthropology, Language and Culture, and Introduction to Prehistoric Archeology), advances courses in three concentrations mentioned above, and general upper-level courses.
