The Admission’s Committee at Franklin and Marshall evaluates student’s high school academic records, to weigh in the type and quality of classes taken, high school ranking, and the quality of the high school; an official recommendation of the student’s guidance counselor, headmaster, principal, or college adviser, and a recommendation letter or letters form teachers; SAT I or ACT scores; extra-curricular and leadership activities. Students who do not believe in standardized tests or do not think they reflect their performance are to send to graded social science papers in order for the admission’s committee to evaluate.
Basic Information (Description):
The BA in Classical Archaeology and Ancient History offers students an opportunity to study history and archaeology in combination to complement the knowledge about classical civilizations. Students have the opportunity to participate in excavations at Poggio Colla an Etruscan site located in Florence, Italy. Students are also encouraged to study abroad and experience the reminiscence of ancient civilizations.
