Prospective students should send a Common Application, a Harvard Supplement, an application fee of $65, Official scores from SAT I or ACT, and three SAT II Subject Test, Secondary School Report and Mid-Year School Report filled out by school’s counselor or adviser, and two teacher evaluations filled out by two different subject teachers.
Basic Information (Description):
The BA in Classical Archaeology offers students an opportunity to study the art and architecture of the ancient world; approaching prehistory and history using archaeological methods. Students are required to take: two half-courses in Greek or Latin above the intermediate level; four half-courses in classical art and archaeology; two half-courses in ancient history with a social or cultural focus; two electives half-courses in classical art and archaeology; and sophomore or junior tutorial. Students take tutorials in the History of Greek Culture and the History of Roman Culture. Students are encouraged to do independent research on unexplored areas in the Classics. Students are to take an exam by the end of senior year, to ensure that in depth learning has taken place
