Admision Requirements:
Prospective students should send a Common Application, a Harvard Supplement, an application fee of $65, Official scores from SAT I or ACT, and three SAT II Subject Test, Secondary School Report and Mid-Year School Report filled out by school’s counselor or adviser, and two teacher evaluations filled out by two different subject teachers.
Basic Information (Description):
The BA in Greek and Roman History offers students the opportunity to focus on ancient history and also on language study. Students take tutorials in the History of Greek Culture and the History of Roman Culture. Students are encouraged to do independent research on unexplored areas in the Classics. Students are to take an exam by the end of senior year, to ensure that in depth learning has taken place. Students are required to take: two half-courses in Geek or Latin above the intermediate level; six half-courses in ancient history; two half-courses in ancient art and archaeology (which could be replaced by sophomore or junior tutorials); and no thesis is required.
