Basic Information (Description):
The Graduate Program in Comparative Media Studies makes an emphasis at thinking across media forms, theories, cultural contexts, and periods in history. Students take a core set of courses that allow them to “enjoy” and understand the many electives available. The coursework helps students understand key issues in the communications’ discipline, media changes, and media traditions. All and all the program is solid, and has the best founder names behind it, such as Noam Chomsky, Norbert Wiener, and Harold "Doc" Edgerton. If you are interested in communications and media you should most definitely consider this program.
