Basic Information (Description):

The BA in Economics offers students an opportunity to study the economic aspects of contemporary society and the economic aspects of social policies. Students take courses to acquire the basic tools for economic analysis, the weaknesses and strengths of the price system, allocation of resources, employment, growth, and inflation. Students are also required to take a course in statistics, four electives, and a senior seminar. The major seems pretty rigorous and intensive, meant for students with a real interest in economics and the economic impact of public policies.
