Admision Requirements:
Admission criteria to San Jose State University are the following: students must be high school graduates, completion of high school classes with "C" or better, and meet the Minimum Eligibility Index (for graduates of California high schools, or residents is 2900 and for non residents who are not graduates of California high schools the minimum index is 3502). The MIE is calculated by using the SAT I total score + 800 x (high school grade point average), or (10 x ACT composite score) + (200 x high school grade point average). Students are also required to take the following high school courses: 4 years of English, 3 years of Mathematics, 3 years of Natural Science, 3 years of Social Science, 2 years of Foreign Language, and 3 electives, with a C or better
Basic Information (Description):
The BS in Environmental Studies offers students a strong foundation in environmental concepts, practice, quantitative resource analysis, and the opportunity to pick a specific subfield of interests to the student. Students are required to take 33 unit credits in General Education Requirements, 6 unit credits in American institutions, 2 unit credits in Physical Education, 67 credit-units for the major (core, electives, and courses in the subfield), and 22-24 unit credits in supporting courses (Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, and Economic courses).
