Admision Requirements:
First year students should submit a complete application (different for domestic and international students) —including test scores and transcripts and the application fee. Students should also have successfully completed the High School Course Requirements and, meet the Regent Admission Index requirement: Iowa residents must present a Regent Admission Index score of 245 or above, and residents of other states must present a Regent Admission Index score of 255 or above. Additionally, if you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident whose first language is not English, you must take an English Proficiency Evaluation during your Orientation program. Exceptions are made in the cases of applicants whose ACT English scores are 21 or above and those whose Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores are 600 and above on the paper-based test, 250 and above on the computer-based test, or 100 and above on the Internet-based test.
Basic Information (Description):
The BA in Photography offers students the opportunity to meet professional challenges, by stressing visual literacy and the development of an aesthetic to synthesize personal temperament in a historical and cultural context. Facilities are various studios, studio lighting, black-and-white and color printing, digital imagining, silkscreen, and offset print shops. The program emphasizes multidisciplinary approaches, so that students take advantage of all the resources the school has to offer.
