Freshmen admission is based on an evaluation of a range of factors including high school course work, ACT composite score or SATI, cumulative high school percentile ranking (HSPR) at the end of the junior year, activities, service, previous work, and information provided in the student's essays. All applicants must complete the Personal Statement and should include information on their interest/experience in the intended major.
Basic Information (Description):
The BA in Studio Art offers student the opportunity to through the manipulation of forms and materials to see, formulate, and articulate visual concepts. Students will develop an awareness of visual expression within the humanist tradition. Students are required to pick a concentration area, but at the same time they will be exposed of many areas in the fine arts disciplines and out of them. Students must complete 33 studio hours in both 3-D and 2-D art as well as 12 or more hours in art history.
