Requirements are: GPA 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale, an ACT 20 or higher or SAT combined score of 930 (critical reading and math scores only), and student must have completed or be in the process of completing the 16-unit preparatory core. However, students who do not meet these requirements should apply anyway and may be admitted on the basis of individual review of their applications.
Basic Information (Description):
The BA in Visual Design is offered to students who would like to develop their potential to become unique and creative designers. The program focuses on the integration of conceptual problem solving skills, technical skills, and the study of art and design history and theory. Students are expected to find their on personal expression to fulfill communication goals in print and screen based media, integrating aesthetics, methodologies, technologies, and context. The program requites at least 3 semester of coursework in Visual Design, in courses such as: Computer Applications in Art, Graphic design, Advanced Design, Visual Design, Elements of Animation , Motion design, among others.
