Students are required to submit: Official transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended, proof of high school graduation or GED or college degree from a regionally accredited institution or nationally accredited institution. Additionally, students must submit a second application directly for the BFA program, once they have taken specific courses (the last of the 12 hours of the 200-level courses required), and submitted their portfolio for review.
Basic Information (Description):
The BFA in Metals and Jewellery offers students the opportunity to prepare for careers in the jewellery arts, metal arts, and related areas. The program makes a strong emphasis on craft skills, critical thinking, creativity, and detail-oriented art. The studios are very well equipped. Students get training not only in metal working, but also in entrepreneurial and communication skills. The program is complete, and yet very specific for those students who wish to become metal workers.
