Admission criteria to the BFA program are the following: students must demonstrate legitimate artistic potential through their portfolio presentation and studio art course’s grades in high school. Additionally students must demonstrate their potential for scholarly achievement; based on high school grades and SAT or ACT scores.
Basic Information (Description):
The BFA in Photojournalism offers students an opportunity to train to be magazine and creative newspaper photographers. Faculty are also highly recognized practitioners and give students not only a theoretical education, but also a practical one. Thanks to its location students get constant access to information and documentary subjects. Students take courses in: photography, digital workflow, legal, business, fine arts component, and ethical aspects in business; having lectures and technical courses. Students take assignments and projects that mirror the real deal. By senior year students would have built a portfolio of photos, and are able to exhibit them at the Corcoran Gallery of Art.
