Students are required to submit: Official transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended, proof of high school graduation or GED or college degree from a regionally accredited institution or nationally accredited institution. Additionally, students must submit a second application directly for the BFA program, once they have taken specific courses (the last of the 12 hours of the 200-level courses required), and submitted their portfolio for review.
Basic Information (Description):
The BFA in Printmaking offers students the opportunity to use many graphic techniques to create visual art in various printed forms. The curriculum offers intaglio (etching, engraving, dry point, aquatint, among others); lithography; relief (woodcut, linoleum cut, letterpress, among others); photomechanical techniques; monoprint; book arts media; and screen-printing. Students are also encouraged to do research, investigate, publish, and contribute to the development of the most democratic fine arts discipline.
