The Admissions Committee at Baylor University looks for students who have challenged themselves in and outside the classroom. Students are to express their interest to become "Baylor Bears" and appreciate the kind of education that Baylor has to offer. Students are required to send high school transcripts (including GPA, and advanced classes), SAT or ACT results, class ranking, recommendation letters, short answer essays, and a list of all extra-curricular activities and awards.
Basic Information (Description):
The BA in Art History focuses on studying the art of the past. Students take two semester of Art History Survey, emphasizing the Greek Antiquity, Italian Renaissance, Roman Antiquity, Colonial America to the 1900, Art Theory and Criticism, Mannerism, Italian Baroque, and Nineteenth Century Europe. Students are offered the opportunity to go on fieldtrips to museums and galleries to enrich their classroom studies, as well as enroll in internship programs. Students are required to complete a comprehensive exam before graduation.
