Students take a seminar, which surveys methodological approaches to art history that have shaped the discipline. Students are also required to complete an independent research by the end of the junior year. The curriculum offers freshmen seminars (wide variety of topics in art), topics in World art history (Africa, Latin America, Asia, medieval, Islamic, European, among others), and many other advanced courses that tackle in-depth topics in art history.
