Knowledge of foreign language is fundamental to make the concentration a more comparative one, and thus a more complete one. During sophomore year students participate in group tutorial; studying a variety of works, from different origins, genres, periods, and media to introduce fundamental questions and techniques of cultural interpretation. Junior year tutorial allows students to design their own individual program of study, finding an area of specialization. Senior tutorial focuses on General Examination preparation on the first and second semester respectively.
