Admission requirements include the following: a high school preparation of at least four year of English, three years of mathematics, two years of science, and three years of social science; and strongest candidates will have taken honors or advanced placement courses. Students who have not taken this preparation will also be considered on the basis on high school record, scores on standardized tests (SAT I or the ACT with writing), and recommendation of school officials. Candidates are also recommended to have an interview and visit the school. Other factors are also considered, such as community involvement, artistic abilities, and sense of humor.
Basic Information (Description):
The Philosophy Program offers students and opportunity to ask a number of fundamental questions, asked by humans since the beginning of times. Students also have the opportunity to discuss the nature of nation states, the nature of the mind, the ethical relation to the environment, artistic expressions of culture, the advanced of natural science, among many others. Students may choose their concentration base don their theoretical/professional interests.
