Dickinson College Pennsylvania, USA / 717-243-5121, fratantu@dickinson.edu http://dickinson.edu/academics/program.cfm?intlstudies The Admission’s Committee at Dickinson College evaluates student’s: high school academic records, to weigh in the type and quality of classes taken, high school ranking, and the quality of the school; an official recommendation of the student’s guidance counselor, headmaster, principal, or college adviser, and a recommendation letter or letters form teachers; SAT I or ACT scores are not required for admission, but are required for those students applying for scholarships; and extra-curricular and leadership activities. The BA in international Studies offers students an opportunity to understand global trends and developments, in order to succeed in the globalized world. The program requires students to take courses in history, economics, international politics, and at least one foreign language; and to choose a concentration around a geographic area, or a topic in international studies. Students are required to take a comprehensive oral examination at the end of the last semester senior year. Courses offered include: International Relations, European Diplomatic history, American Foreign Policy, and Global Economy, among others. Students are highly encouraged to study abroad in one or more of the 40 Dickinson-run abroad programs. Bachelor's Degree
