The Admissions Committee at Baylor University looks for students who have challenged themselves in and outside the classroom. Students are to express their interest to become "Baylor Bears" and appreciate the kind of education that Baylor has to offer. Students are required to send high school transcripts (including GPA, and advanced classes), SAT or ACT results, class ranking, recommendation letters, short answer essays, and a list of all extra-curricular activities and awards.
Basic Information (Description):
The BA in Biblical Languages offers students an opportunity to study the main biblical languages: Hebrew and Greek, as well as in Aramaic, Akkadian, Ugaritic, Syriac, and Arabic (on demand). Students take courses such as Elementary Modern Standard Arabic, Biblical Aramaic, Akkadian, Elementary and Intermediate Greek, The Septuagint, Hebrew, Ugaritic, Seminar in New Testament Greek, among many others. The major is unique and offers courses in languages that are very rare and thus should be acknowledged as unique.
