Admision Requirements:
Requirements are: GPA 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale, an ACT 20 or higher or SAT combined score of 930 (critical reading and math scores only), and student must have completed or be in the process of completing the 16-unit preparatory core. However, students who do not meet these requirements should apply anyway and may be admitted on the basis of individual review of their applications.
Basic Information (Description):
The BA in Drama offers students a rich theater experience. The program offers courses in acting, directing, scene design, musical theater, make-up, dance, costume design, theater history, dramatic literature, stage speech, singing, movement, audition technique, comedy improvisation, scene painting, stage speech, and specialized seminars to understand the theater process. Students have the opportunity to have hands on production experience, work with professional artists, get involved in productions, design and work behind the scenes. the program requires that students take a minimum of 40 semester hours in the department, and 18 a the 3000 level or above.
