The MIE is calculated by using the SAT I total score + 800 x (high school grade point average), or (10 x ACT composite score) + (200 x high school grade point average). Students are also required to take the following high school courses: 4 years of English, 3 years of Mathematics, 3 years of Natural Science, 3 years of Social Science, 2 years of Foreign Language, and 3 electives, with a C or better. An audtion in required for all students who would like to participate in the Music Program. The BA in Music offers students an interdisciplinary program, allowing them to combine a music coursework with other areas of interest. Students are required to take 45 unit credits in General Education Requirements, 6 unit credits in American institutions, 2 unit credits in Physical Education, 40 unit credits in core courses (all music courses) , and 10 credit-units in the specialization area (Theory, Arranging, and Composition; History and Literature; Conducting; Improvisation; Music Technology; or Applied Lessons).
