Admission process at Davidson is holistic. The two main characteristics the College looks for are: academic potential and motivation for community and beyond-the-classroom engagement. Students are required to submit their high school transcript, class rank, and standardized test scores. The application also provides space for students to demonstrate their artistic, athletics, leadership, and volunteering talents and service. In order of importance the committee looks for: 1- Rigor in high school coursework, 2- success in high school coursework, 3-writign ability and personal impact (analysis of essays and recommendations), 4-leadership, involvement, and service, 5- SAT (math and another subject) or ACT scores.

The Theatre Program offers students an opportunity to study theatre in the context and tradition of a liberal arts institution. Students get the best education in and out of the classroom in the form of curricular and co-curricular activities.
